So just recently, for seemingly no reason whatsoever, everytime I try to play an online game I have a ridiculous number of lag spikes. I have 110 mb/s down, and 15 mb/s up, 0% packet loss, and very low ping, so any help would be much appreciated. My computer is tethered to another computer's connection, and they're both wirelessly connected to a Netgear Nighthawk.

Your network connection sounds complex and with wireless involved you can get random issues. The reason you should not use a computer to share a internet connection is you pretty much can not use that computer for much. If it were to use a lot of cpu or other resources it will cause delays in its ability to act as a router for the other computer.

So your first step is to see if you really have no packet loss or delays. Open a CMD window and run a continuous ping to your router IP. Let this run in the background. When you see issues in the game then quickly tab to the cmd widow and see if you see any issues. Be sure you ping the router and not the computer you are connected to.

If you see nothing then it may be farther into the...

If you see nothing then it may be farther into the network. You could ping the ISP router or maybe 8.8.8.8. When you see issues here but not to your router it indicates a issue with your internet connection.

When you see nothing in the cmd window but your game still indicates a problem then you start blaming the game. There are all kinds of strange things that cause the lag spikes in games. Most are related to video settings.
