I've been searching over the internet for how to do this in order to get some extra speed out of my two 64G Lexar USB drives but I can't find a way to actually create the array with them. I've tried several programs, namely Lexar's own BootIt, HP USB formatting tool, and BOOTICE.

I've been trying to flip the removable bit in them to make them fixed disks because I assume that would allow them to be detected by Windows 8's Storage Pool software but I don't know if that would work for sure or not so any advice short of "don't do it" is helpful.

The main reason I want to try is because I game on a laptop and having a quick read area would help immensely. I've thought of short-stroking my hdd but it wouldn't provide much improvement.
