Hello i just got a light strike really close to my house now my psu makes a weird sound a beep

Hello people i recently got a lightstrike about 30 meters of my house now the light is knda low at my home , my pc does turn on but for a moment the psu makes a beep and turns off, my psu is broken? Note the sound is coming from the psu not my motherboard speaker

well...u can always give it a try...but be careful, as a dying psu sometimes takes out other components along...
u can do the paperclip test first if u want to play safer...

If the lights in your home have dimmed, then damage to mains supply may be the cause. Get your electricity authority to test your line for correct output.

IMO Ferny, Its not worth taking the risk until you are satisfied you have stable line voltage and that possible other damage has not occurred. Unstable power could also damage hardware components to your PSU or MB.

well the light is full now not buzzy like before, so i should give it a try? isnt a shitty power supply its a cooler master ex725

Thanks after a while , it got fixed the problem was my light supply on my house, after it estabilized the psu doesnt longer make sound. and my pc is working now fine. Thank you all for the quickanswe
