I feel like I am not getting enough perfomance from my Computer

Specs: Cpu:i5 2400 Motherboard: Asus p67 pro 3 GPU: gigabyte r9 380 4GB Ram: 12 DDR3 1600 This is my rig and I have trouble running Fallout 4 On low and getting 60 FPS, now is this just because my cpu and motherboard are preaty old because I feel like it should be able to push 60 on low also got a ssd.

its a 2nd gen intel with a pretty strong gpu there...having said that the age of the components also matters as every hardware tends to wear out with time...
start with monitoring the temps through something like speccy or hwinfo...check for inconsistent temp surges specially while gaming...
if the cpu temps and speeds are consistent, u can also try this...lets see if this helps...

> download display driver uninstaller from guru3d...run it and uninstall all current drivers...
> power off the system and reset the cmos battery...
> clean the card properly for dust accumulation...
> power on the system and update the bios to the latest one, but before that, keep a copy of the older bios, in case the new one doesnt work...(optional)

The minimum processor requirement for Fallout 4 (as in, it can just barely actually run the game, never mind getting decent FPS or settings) is an i5-2300. So with a 2400, you're only just clearing that minimum, and you're nowhere near the recommended processor (an i7-4790 or better.)

Your graphics card is well over the minimum requirement and almost meets the recommended, so that shouldn't be causing too much of an issue, and you've got half again as much RAM as recommended.

So I'd say it's your processor that's the problem, yeah.

ETA: Should also ask, though: Do you have the same problem with other, less demanding games, or is it just Fallout 4?
