I am interested to know if there is anyone that can help me with the original BIOS file (your back-up, not downloaded from the asus site) H170-PRO-ASUS-0903.CAP or above. I really apreciate it.

If you have downloaded a bios file for your motherboard from the Asus support website for your model of motherboard.

You must download the Asus file re namer software and install it.

You must then select the bios file with the. Cap file extension extract it, and rename it.

Before it will be recognised or accepted when using the file to flash the bios of your motherboard to what revision of bios firmware you require G3258OC.

It is rejected when selecting the file to flash the bios because it has the wrong file extension.

Where it should be a .Bin file extension for it to be accepted by the flashing program.

Or the built in flashing tool of the bios setup and settings of the motherboard you have.

Look for the Asus bios renaming tool and download, found on the Asus website.

Hey there,
thank you for your feed-back.

I've already tried all the recovery options including CrashFree and so on, the Bios was updated maybe untill 90% and now I have only one option to rewrite the BIOS Chip. As far as I've read in other official sources, the factory BIOS file contain other features comparing with the site versions. I'm not so sure yet hope that I'll find if these features are included and should be activated or are simple other sequences implemented in factory.

At this point I am unable to update the bios using the regular solutions because, the usb ports (only in bios sequence) are not shown (1 partition formated sticks, FAT 16/32, with or without the file renamed using the tool called BRenamerl.exe)
