Hi all,

I had bought a printer HP m128fn, and plugged it into the router and it works on the network. But I was thinking can I add a wifi adapter to my desktop and use it to connect to the wifi router and still be able to access the printer?

I think it might be possible, since the printer is connected using the ethernet cable to the router. And since the router is wireless, if I connect a laptop to the router, it might be able to access the printer. And the same thing goes for the WIFI adapter for the desktop. Will this be possible?

If yes, then only I will buy a Wifi adapter, otherwise I will not.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Yes.

But you must use your WIFI router as an Access Point. Another way of saying this is, your WIRED and WIRELESS must be on the same LAN (subnet).
