I am trying to decide on which ASUS 17 inch gaming laptop to purchase and would like advice on whether to prioritize the processor or graphics card quality. Here are the key specs for each option:

Option 1 - ASUS ROG G751JY-VS71(WX):
-Intel core i7 4720hq, 2.6 GHz
-16 GB RAM DDR3 SDRAM
-Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM (G-Sync)
[cost: $1479]

Option 2 - ASUS ROG G752VT-DH72:
-Intel core i7 6700hq, 2.6 GHz
-16 GB RAM DDR4 SDRAM
-Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM (G-Sync)
[cost: $1593]

Any thoughts would be very appreciated, especially pertaining to best graphics experience and lifespan of laptop.

Thanks!

if your just playing 1080p there isnt going to be that much of a difference, but your hooking up to another monitor and doing 1440p then the 980m. The CPUs are pretty similar besides the fact of ddr4 in the 6700.
