Hi everyone,
I have recently cloned Windows over to my new Samsung 856 SSD. At first when I restarted Windows, it showed up but I didn't think that it was the right save, so I restarted my computer again thinking it would fix it. Now the SSD doesn't show up in the boot options and when I try to get to Windows by restarting my computer, it always takes me back to the BIOS, no matter what.
Thanks in advance for your help,
- Lewis

If you cloned windows over to a SSD drive from a mechanical drive.

Make sure you remove the original drive from your system, or disconnect the Sata cable from it to the motherboard.

Make sure the SSD drive and it`s sata data cable is connected to the Sata port that the original drive was connected to or using of your motherboard.

Test the system to see if the SSD drive is then detected or the windows os cloned to the ssd drive begins to load or boot.

If it works.

Then you need to format the existing drive that the os was cloned from.
Or you need to change the drive letter assignment of the existing drive to another drive letter allocation.
