Recently I made the switch from a GTX 770 to a GTX 970. The improvement was noticeable however this was only about a 20 - 40 FPS difference in games such as Team Fortress 2. I have a 4770k processor (3.5 GHz) and the motherboard is satisfactory. I was under the impression that the GTX 970 should improve FPS exponentially, not by 20 - 40 frames. I do not know much about computers but I do believe I have installed GeForce drivers successfully yet my frames are still sub par on the lowest settings.
