Hi.I got two 2GB sticks of PC 10700 in my ram slots totaling 4 GB.The motherboard is ASrock n68 vs3 UCC and the processor is an AMD athlon || x2 250.
When checking CPU-Z at the Memory thing , it says DRAM frequency 400Mhz.Shouldnt it be 667 since my RAM is advertised to be running at 1333 ?Thanks

Yes , i am aware of this , but the rams i am using are DDR3.And 2x400 DRAM still has 266Mhz to go until it reaches 1066Mhz.Am i missing something here ?

Thanks , i'll check it out.
Also of note ,if anyone knows whats best :I've got the JEDEC 2 and JEDEC 3 standards that should fit my situation , with 518 Mhz and 7 7 7 19 timers and 592Mhz with 8 8 8 22 respectively. 2x592 is a bit of an overshoot tho..and i'm planning on swapping one of my 2Gb stick with a 4Gb stick.
SO , is it safe if i overshoot a little considering all this ?

Alright.I've fiddled a bit with the settings and came up with this :
Dram freq : 535.7 Mhz (which is basically what i wanted ; to get to 1066 "stable" freq)
FSB : Dram 3:8
CL 7
tRCD 7
tRP 7
tRAS 19
tRC 26
CR 2T

Also of note : Voltage i set on auto , timings i got from the JEDEC table .
What i would like to know : Is there room for improvement ?
Is the FSB : DRAM ratio alright ? (used to be 1:4 before changes , my gut tells me it should be 1:1 but i might be wrong)

But the CPU supports RAM up to 1066 Mhz.. doesn't it ?
Are you saying that it's safe to up the speed of the RAMs? I am aware that the motherboard can handle it , but does it make a difference for the processor ?

edit: or are you talking about the processors' bus speed? sorry im confused
