specific OS target PC games

is there a specific OS which target only games like PS4 's OS.

Windows is general purpose OS, so far i have learn with Windows OS will not able to provide performance as PS4 does on equivalent hardware.

there is steam OS develop on Linux, which looks good but still a specific OS which only develop for Games will save some money on buy High-end hardware.

please let me know if any such OS or under development.

I think I understand what your getting at, but the short answer is no. There is not a PC OS out there that will give you better performance, or at least bring it to the level of efficiency that consoles are at.

Consoles are able to get better performance out of games than comparable PC hardware because game developers know exactly what hardware their games will be running on, they are then able to optimize for that...

There is no console (PS4/XboxONE) that can compete with PC performance. Any decent PC with high-end components from the last 3-4 years can beat any console.

As mentioned above, it is your PC hardware that may limit your performance.

even on High-end Spec, lets $10000 setup still these OS wasting resources. Game's company earning money is very good then why they looking at other Proprietary OS for their games

theoretical Windows OS can't beat PS4's OS in games. but can be possible.

vulkan API is an example, before same General purpose OS giving less performance with DirectX. I'm sure a OS with inbuilt Vulkan API can do much better.

Please show how a PS4 can 'beat', in whatever category you choose, a well built Windows PC.

A PC is designed to do a lot more than gaming, therefore compromises have to be made in terms of drivers/hardware/optimizations etc.

So from a purely gaming perspective consoles are more efficient at extracting FPS from a specific hardware set. However, a console can only game, thats it.

And in terms of raw performance, there is no comparison as high end PCs have way more powerful hardware and DO outperform a console in every single game available in both platforms. There is not a single game where a PS4 can even come close to PC performance.
