My I7-6850K runs hot - very hot?!?!

My I7-6850K has 1 core that runs between 120-130 degrees Celsius. It's core #3. Sometimes it even disappears in OpenHardwareMonitor, which is what I use as my monitor.
The other 5 cores run between 24-34 degrees Celsius.

This means that it is not my cooler (Corsair H110i GT), but the CPU that has a defect right? And that I can get a new one on my warranty right?

If the sensor is wrong, how can it help using another monitor. What monitor would you recommend?

Edit; At the same time, my fans on my CPU cooler runs full speed all the time. Probably the reason right? And actually I have experienced lags that seems weird. Like when only having Spotify and Rocket League open.

If it's that hot check it in bios. I suppose it's possible there is no Tim/soldier on that core (not sure which those chips use yet as I've not seen much delidding info on them) I would think at 120° it would shut down not just downclock. But I could be wrong use cpuz or something similar to monitor cpu speed while doing moderate tasks to see if it's throttling or not. Would tell if the cpu thinks its hot or just the software

I checked with other software and it seems there is no problem after all. I also realised it couldn't be that hot, since it opens on startup, which is where i checked it. It's not possible to be that hot after being power on after 1 minute i guess.

Shut down is near 100degC so if the sensor was truly detecting over 120degC your computer shouldn't be running AFAIK.

So... huh.

I'd have to suspect the CPU sensor since the others work, though again why it doesn't shut down I have no idea.

At this point I'd contact Intel, and yes it's covered under Warranty.

Other program?
Try "core temp" if you want though I'd think you'd get the same issue: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Hi, thanks for your interest.
Yes, it is at default frequency. Corsair Link 4 seems to work much better. All is good. Honestly I feel a bit silly freaking out like that without even checking other software first, but again... it is my baby you know.
