I'm selling parts from my company's old servers. How can I make sure everything's in working order? I wasn't around when they decided to stop using them, so I'm not particularly sure what was wrong with them. I do know that they can start up and they could boot Windows (before I used DBAN on the hard drives). So there shouldn't be anything wrong with the power supply, backplane, or hard drives. But what about the processor, controller, RAM modules, and the tape drive?
