Hey.

So I got an intel i7 6700k that support 16 PCIe lanes.

I also got a 1080, but I was wondering if I should maybe get another 1080 in the future.
Then these would run at x8/x8 pcie lanes.

Would adding the samsung 950, makes the cards run slower?

regards, Noiz

You will have no trouble.
The 6700K has enough PCIe lanes for 2 GraphicCards.
It is listed in your Manual, how the PCIe Lanes slit up.
The additional PCIe lanes for SATA Controller and M.2 Port and other peripherals are provided by your Chipset.
No need to worry!
6700K has 16 lanes
Z170 Chipset has 20 lanes

Oh, so Intel still did not increase the amount of PCIe lanes coming directly from the CPU. It also still has 4 core i7's till now. I don't know how long will this stay. So, there are 20 lanes from the chipset. Is that the total no. of lanes?
