I own my family members old HP Pavilion a6414f, specs include AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.00GHz, 3.00 GB ram, and 32-bit windows vista(Capable of 64-bit)). The current graphics card is a geforce 6150SE nforce 430. I was wondering if i could raplace the current graphics card with a Geforce GT 730(2GB DDR3). If i can could someone comment the steps. Thanks in advance.
This may be a dumb question but if i were to switch the graphics cards would i need different drivers and if i do, do i need to install the drivers before or after. And will it do anything to the files on this computer because as i said it is an family computer with files i'd like to keep. I hope to one day either turn this computer into a computer me and my family can comfortably game on. Because right now it lags on minecraft.

P.S.
I forgot to mention it in the post above but my computer has 300W power supply

It's probably not worth putting any money into tbh. That CPU it too old and too weak to play anything at an enjoyable framerate. You could probably upgrade to a GT 730 and you would see some improvements in Minecraft, but not much, Minecraft is mostly CPU intensive.
