Accidentally dropped a CPU

I was packing a i3-3240 to ship it off to somebody and I accidentally dropped it about a foot and a half onto a hardwood floor (I even measured the dropping distance, had a tape measured near by and it came up to roughly 18 inches dropping distance)

I inspected the processor and didn't see any dings, chips, scratches or cracks. Looking at the underside of it I didn't see anything that looked bent or broken. Then again I'm not 100% certain what I should be looking for, but I didn't see anything that looked out of place with it. It was also in a static proof bag when it dropped so nothing got on it either.

I'm not sure which side it dropped on either. I'm assuming it dropped on the heat spreader but I can't remember for certain.

Is the processor probably fine or should I be worried

Solution
No way to tell from your description, your probably alright right. Only running it under stress test for awhile will tell you for sure if the CPU is okay.

Thanks for the response.

I would test it out but the circumstances unfortunately don't allow me to. Someone bought it already and I was packaging to ship it out and ended up accidentally dropping it. The only way for me to obtain new thermal paste is to order it online and wait possibly up to a week to get it so that's out of the question since it was already bought and they're expecting it

Just to make sure do you think its likely fine or should I end up trying to refund the order (not sure if I can even do that on ebay) until I can get it tested
