Hello tech gurus. I am building a Gaming rig for the first time in a decade. I'm wanting to hook it up to my 1080 60" Tv via HDMI and hopefully my surround sound.
The games I really want to play are Mechwarrior Online, Day Z, Battlefield 4, GTA V multiplayer, and those other open multiplayer PC exclusives type games.
I will also be using it for basic Photoshop and video editing. But nothing 3d rendered or crazy. I do want the option to use VR, or at least be able to upgrade to that down the road.
So what parts do ya'll recommend? I wan to keep the budget as low as possible but maintain the above requirements.
So far I'm torn between AMD and Intel, I hear that Intel upgrades better but I dont ever see myself needing an i7 Skylake, unless that will be a necessity for VR?
I keep bouncing back and forth between i3 6100, the cheapest i5 I can get, or any high rated budget AMD. I do like the Asus Z170-A for its upgrade options and overclocking ease (Ive never overclocked but I'm willing to try it with youtube help).
I haven't even begun to obsessively research Graphics cards or cases.
So what do ya'll think? Can it be done as a budget rig and how?
