Hi! I had recently bought a Pentium G3258. I managed to get it to 4.5 GHz stable(@1.25v on stock cooler)with hit-and-trial. I'm getting about 63 degrees c in Prime95. I'm a first time overclocker here and would like to know if I should go any further. The temps seem fine, but I don't want to fry the processor on the stock cooler. Seems like I have a good chip.

Also, I would like to know if the life of the processor is okay - 3 years is all I am looking for. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Solution
You can use CPU-Z to verify what you're actually running at. As long as you keep the voltage below 1.3, I say overclock it as far as it will go! That's the reason one buys a G3258 after all.

Hi @scuzzycard. The product version is 28.9. It was downloaded from mersenne.org. The ambient temperature is around 35 degrees, and goes lower in the morning to about 30ish. Also, I tested this with Aida64 and am getting 100% load at 60 degrees. I just quickly want to check - can I confirm if my overclock is even active? Thanks.
