Hi, I'm putting together a DIY water-cooling system with PTEG hard tubing. When trying to design the tubing formation we noticed that no one has done a spiral design or a "coil" design. Does anyone know why no one seems to be doing anything like a coil or spiral in their tube?
We did try to do a coil and it was very clean and successful. However, we used a silicone insert to keep the tube from kinking or bending flat. We noticed that at the end we could not get the silicone insert out and had to destroy the spiral tube itself. We were wondering if there is any trick to get a spiral where we could remove the insert. Would a lubricant like KY jelly or maybe oil like olive oil work to get the silicone insert out? Any information, thoughts, tips, or tricks would be appreciated!
