So I just did a new build and i have a 240gb ssd with the oss and all my main programs but i want to use my parent old wd blue 7200 rpm hhd for games and stuff, someone told me the best way to wipe it for my system is to format it, how do i do that, and can you give me a step by step instruction on how to format it and use it on my pc

Solution
plug the drive in
make sure in the bios it shows up
in windows 10 right click on the windows icon
bring up disk management.
you should see two disk.
one size of the ssd the other the new drive.
the ssd should have system and restore partion on it. so dont tuch that drive.
select the other drive and click on format.
if you want to go lower click on remove all partions and make new ones and format it with the new windows format.
