I upgraded to an SSD after using windows 8/8.1 for a short time. I moved my OS to my SSD (samsung evo 250gb) using samsungs included os migration software and everything has been fine..

I recently made the upgrade to Windows 10 and Im wondering if it is worthwhile to wipe any traces of an OS of of my 2tb harddrive that i use for general storage. Are there any risks of doing this?

Thanks!

Here's the proper way to delete the Windows.old folder:

Step 1: Click in Windows' search field, type Cleanup, then click Disk Cleanup.
Step 2: Click the "Clean up system files" button.
Step 3: Wait a bit while Windows scans for files, then scroll down the list until you see "Previous Windows installation(s)."

Before you delete anything, verify it actually boots with just the SSD connected.
If so, then delete away.
