Was wondering if anyone tried to SLI the GTX 1060 yet.
Would be interesting to see how it would scale through the PCIE slot.

By try I mean how someone actually tried and got the GTX 750 Ti to SLI.

Solution
That was with Ashes though. That works by bypassing SLI and just treating the available GPUs as a single pool.

'true' SLI is not available to the 1060. This may be the last or next to last generation that offers SLI at all.

SLI on the GTX 1060 is not supported in hardware. Multiadapter isn't the same as SLI.

Theoretically, just for fun, with 2 GTX 1060s in SLI, you'd have...

-2560 shader cores, so equal shading performance to the GTX 1080.

-more ROPs than the GTX 1080 (96 vs 64). However, this would most likely overload the 192-bit bus.

-smaller bus width than the GTX 1080 (192 bits vs 256 bits). Memory bandwidth does not scale in SLI.

In practice, SLI does not enable a 100% performance increase over a single card, so it would certainly be slower than a GTX 1080.

Yea but that's through DX12 and only applies to that 1 game and doesn't work for other games that support SLI/Crossfire.

Well I don't think it has a name (Unless it's "Different SLI) but I was wondering if someone got 2 GTX 1060s to run together in games that aren't DX12 or if anyone has actually tried.
