i just installed a seidon 120v ver2 on my i7 4790k, it's the first time i do this and i see the temperatures are very high... it stays at 45C idle and reaches 100C as soon as i run something a little bit intensive (even minecraft).
i keep the side panel open and it doesn't seem like the cooler fan is moving much air through the radiator
i tried to apply different amounts of thermal paste a couple times .
i use intel's power gadget and realtemps
i had lower temps with the crappy stock cooler.

It's sounds to me like your pump is not working or not getting enough power do you have your pump powered by your power supply using a 3 pin adapter or is it plugged into your motherboard cpu fan header if so try using a 3 pin adapter so it could be powered by your power supply if it's already plugged connected to your power supply then your pump is not moving liquid to the radiator to be cooled down and that's why your temps are why too high when opening programs

Could you go into your bios and set the CPU Fan Speed Control to Disabled and that will give your pump more power to move liquid to the radiator for cooling just make sure you have it plugged in the CPU fan header first and you found the right one
