Hi experts,
Recently I upgraded my gtx 770 with a 1070. The first time when I connected & installed the card, everything worked perfectly fine. I used the same mDP cable, that I also used for my old graphics card.
After shutting my pc down for the first time, I couldn't start the system the next time. I heard 1 long, and 2 short beeps, repeatedly.
As far as my knowledge goes, I disconnected my graphics card, and used my integrated graphics to start my pc. After googling and reading other threads, I tried to start the pc with the 1070, via HDMI cable, and it worked! I can play games at 1440p at max settings, so surprisingly it does the card justice.
Still I'd rather be able to use a (mini)Displayport cable. I find it strange that it worked the first time with mDP, and afterwards not. Plus I used my old 770 with mDP, so why doesn't the new card work this way? Does anyone know what's going on?
My specs:
I5 4440 @ 3.10 GHz
16GB RAM DDR3 1600
MS-7848 motherboard (MEDION)
Gigabyte G1 gaming gtx 1070
Thanks in advance,
Marco
