hello all fellow technological enthusiasts of the new world! Today is the day that i shall be reborn and rise from the depths of old computing into the new age of advanced gaming.

my question for all of you is what are they best combination of computer parts that once assembled together will create a synergy of outstanding performance for a flexible gamer.

i'm quite convinced that the gtx 1080 shall be a definitive addition to the list but my vision still obscured for the rest. a monitor of greatness is also required. preferably one that can do 1440 resolution as i'v come to witness that 4k gaming is still not within grasp for optimized playing.

this monitor looks appealing, is there anything better or good and cheaper?

http://

i'm quite competitive at games such as counterstrike but also love casual games and high graphic demanding games so i must have a computer that can handle even the most demanding games on the highest graphic settings. i must have a 1ms with minimum 144hz for a monitor. i do not need a keyboard or mouse but need everything else =D

all together i'm hoping the computer including the monitor won't exceed over 3000$ canadian but if the computer parts that you guys suggest will go over that i'm willing to go over if it is worth it! it would also be amazing if the computer can handle virtual reality gaming

thank you for reading and i look forward to reading your posts!

i see, my mistake

getting one of those 1440p monitors would be a bonus but if it makes me go over budget by to much then i'll have to settle for 1080p.

Still very doable for under 3K and yes it would be VR ready.
Leaves you money left to shipping and taxes if necessary not sure how Canada works on that. You could also upgrade the cooler to a AIO water cooler if you wish or add a 500GB SSD for games. The case comes down to the looks you like the one I listed is a solid case but some prefer different looks. You still need the operating system and a cheap disc player if you need one.

looks amazing although maybe a different case =P

i'll probably not need to overclock anything unless theirs a game that can't be run on the highest settings
a 250gb ssd should be enough. i usually uninstall games once i get bored of them

ill be ordering all the parts tonight or tomorrow so thanks for the quick and detailed response may that kitten rock and roll for eternity without rest and fatigue

looks solid though the monitor is 4ms which isn't bad for the casual gamer but the 3ms difference is huge for games like csgo =D

another thing, why is that gtx 1080 more expansive then the other one posted by zerk. confusing...
case looks decent and maybe liquid cooling would be a good option. is there any cases of it leaking though i can just imagine the water wrecking havoc inside my pc =O

i couldn't find any monitor with less then 4ms and also i have ips the reason for the expensive gtx 1080 vs to match your system that it nothing else because the mobo is red and black and the zotac card is gray and yellow plus the strix have onboard fan header so that u can connect case to your gpu instead of mobo to keep gpu cool.no the this cooler will be fine if u are into rgb thing then this is the same cooler with rgb fans

instead of the zotac video card this one is cheaper and does the same for 706$ http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/6shj4D/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-8gb-video-card-rog-strix-gtx1080-8g-gaming

need a case that is small and portable but with these monster components
also if anyone knows of any bag/carrier of some sort that can pack the case, monitor, wires, keyboard and mouse, headphones nicely and protect it good that would be awesome

if you want a small case then this corsair case is very nice and you can expand to 2 cards if u wan't in future this is very nice mobo but if u wan't a expensive mobo then this asus mobo is gr8

as for the cooler this is very nice with rgb and for more aesthetics then there are thermaltake fans which are same as the one used in this cooler so it will very cool

just get a k processor and although that gpu is nice it has custom pcb but if u want better aesthetics then i recomend the strix but it is your u can do whatever u wan't just get a 280 rad.It doesn't make any sense to get aio and z170 mobo for a locked cpu
