Should I be getting this amount of FPS on CS:GO with these specs?

i5 6600 (non-K version)
gtx 970 strix
ddr4 16gb (8x2) 2133 mhz

my ingame settings:
1024x768
fullscreen
normal 4:3

On Deathmatch servers with lots of players I get around 150-200 fps
on normal competitive games I'd get from 190-250 fps sometimes 250-300 but not for more than a minute.

I'm just wondering if I should be getting more or if it is expected from my specs to be getting these amound of frames.

Thanks in advance :)

Sounds fine. I have simliar powerful setup. What ingame quality settings are you using?

xeon 1230v3 (non overclockable, like i5, but with hyper threading)
msi gtx 970 gaming4
ddr3 16gb (8x2) 1600 mhz

my ingame settings:
all at highest quality
1920*1080

I get (on Linux) around 150-200 fps. Sometimes more. I play at higher resolution, btw.

Recently my pc just started giving me problems. Now i get under 170 with constant spikes going below 60. Its annoying and hard to play with all the spikes. I even made s thread on this and the responses i get. Nothing seems to work.
