You're always better off with getting a single faster GPU than two slower ones. And no remotely decent card has less than 2GB VRAM these days.

he is talking about the memory interface im guessing. Faster cards use 256+ slower use 128. 2 950's would be faster than say a 960 but probably slower than a overclocked 970. Always better to buy the fastest single card solution you can that way later on you can go sli with that if u choose.
