Computer no longer works

Hello anyone,
Yesterday I was playing on my computer, and the display cut to black with a robotic sound, after powering it off and back on, the display would not come back. I then let it rest, as I had encountered this problem before which had fixed itself by just waiting. But nothing changed.

Today I took apart my computer, remounting my graphics card and RAM, checking power supply cords and removing the watch battery on my Mobo for 5 minutes.

Currently when I turn my computer on, all of my fans turn on. Including the case fans and coolant fans, the liquid cooler over the processor turns on. Graphics Card lights up, and SSD lights up. The question is that my display does not engage, and my keyboard does not light up (my mouse, which is plugged into my keyboard lights up however). On the motherboard the CPU light is lit, and the DRAM and VGA lights are off. One final thing, I can turn the computer on using the power button but it won't turn off using the power button, only way to turn the computer off now is to switch of the PSU

I am so so confused, I have exhausted my computer knowledge and I just want to go back to wasting my summer playing video games.

My specs are:
Corsair Vengance (8gbx2) 3000mhz
MSI motherboard ATX DDR4 Z170A
Intel i7 6700K 4.00 GHz
NZXT Kraken, liquid cooling
SuperNOVA 650 W
GeForce 980 GTX ti
(Other items that I could list if needed including 1 tb hard drive and 252 ssd)

SamTheSwan, Try taking out your graphics card and connecting your vga/hdmi/display port cable to your motherboard. If it displays then it's your graphics card.

I did that already as well, plugging in my DVI cord and then an HDMI cord directly into my motherboard yielded no results, the same "symptoms" persisted.

You mentioned a robotic sound. Where does it come from? It would be strange for the monitor to make a sound, but if it's the motherboard then you could refer to the manual to see if it's a diagnostic beep.

Also... could it be the monitor at fault? Have you got another PC or similar to check if that works?

Robotic sound came through my headset, which was plugged into the audio. It wasn't any diagnostic beep it sounded like the sound of the game I was playing got stretched out. The monitor still works, I hooked my laptop up to it and was using it for a while, the keyboard also works aswell.

Did you actually, physically, removed the graphics card, like anthonyc821 suggested, before pluggin in directly to your motherboard?
If you just plugged DVI/HDMI cord into the motherboard, with the GPU still slotted into the motherboard, a lot of times the motherboard overrides the motherboard's display outputs, and stops any video signal, because it is detecting a discrete graphics card is installed.

If this is the case, try again, with graphics card physically removed.

i tried completely removing the graphics card and the same problem persisted. One thing that I have noticed is two beeps when I power up my computer

look at that. idk if it will apply to your motherboard. Also, try this:

Start with one stick one ram and see if it solves the problem. If not try the others and in different slots. I would clear the bios after taking all the ram out, then give it a go.
