Are we talking about a motherboard with a P31 chipset or the smartphone? In any case you should be specific. If you're talking about a motherboard, please include your full system's specs as well as your OS and in essence what you're working with at the moment.

If a mobo, then yes probably, the P31 chipset supports 1GB sticks, if it is a mobo, get the free app CPU-Z and let us know what mobo and what CPU
