So I just cloned Windows 10 from my HDD after resetting it and starting from scratch. Now I'm wondering what to do next and how to make the ssd with Windows 10 on it my primary and my HDD for storage. Please help! I've been trying to do this thing for months and I'm finally close.

-Thanks

Solution

At the end of the cloning process:
Once it stops, power off
Disconnect the old drive
Connect the new drive in the same SATA port as the old one
Power up
Verify the boot order in the BIOS
It should now boot from the new SDD
Maybe reboot a couple of times, just to be sure.

Assuming success, then you reconnect the old drive
