I'm planning on changing my mobo and current one supports 3GB/s so what of I got a 6Gb/s SATA mobo, will my current HDD handle that?

Solution
Yes, SATA versions are retrocompatible, and if you are jumping from 3Gb/s to 6Gb/s, you won't have any issue. If you are running a HDD you won't see any performance difference, but if you are running a SATA3 SSD, you can see a improve in data transfer throughput.
