Hi, I recently got a new pair of earphones and they were working very well but they stopped working with my phone, even though they were fine a few hours ago. They work on my laptop and on other phones and I also tried other earphones on my phone and they work, so they both work, just not together. I tried restarting the phone and nothing changed. I don't really understand how that could happen and I was wondering if there was maybe a way to fix it?

Sounds like the contacts just no longer match up, you can try come contact cleaner and see if that helps with a soft thin brush like this http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Clean-a-18-3.5mm-Headphone-Jack/ Only catch is that there is a chance of some damage to the jack while cleaning it. If other headphones work with your phone, I suggest you just use those and use yours somewhere else. If the phone jack gets damaged, no headphones will work with it.
