had a thread a while ago about the 1070 but now that i look again at my specs and what i need, i need some new feedback.
i am playing at 1080p, 144hz. i mainly play WoW, Overwatch, Dota, Cs go (and occasionally metro 2033, portal, trackmania)...i want each of these games to run with EVERYTHING MAXED OUT and get good frames out of them...at the very least 100, but i would like to use my monitor to the max.
specs :
mobo : gigabyte ex58-ud3r
gpu: gigabyte 7790 2gb
cpu: i7 920 oc-ed at 3.8ghz
ram: 12gb of some old kingston's
storage : samsung evo 850 500gb
psu: OCZ zs 750w
the 1070 in my country is 500-560 euros, while the 1060 is 300-340 euros (these are the cheapest models, others go up way more)
i was afraid that the 1070 will be bottlenecked by the 920, and even if the bottleneck is minor, is it worth it ? i could get the 1060 and get a bit less frames than the "bottlenecked" frames at a much better price
right now i fancy the gainward 1060 phoenix GS
