How does Intel able to update their CPU so frequently?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems Intel is able to update their CPU every year. 2013 Haswell, 2014 Broadwell, and then 2015 Skylake

How can they do this so frequently?

So they create a new CPU. Then they would have a similar CPU but improved from the previous one. Like how there are two Cpus that fit into LGA1150 socket. They have a new system now but it will have a similar major change and then minor change. Kind of like how those with a 4770K weren't flocking to get a 4790K.
