Case fans , Mobo , PSU

I need help here and I hope am in the right place :).........I got a Corsair Spec 01 with Gigabyte ga h170 gaming 3 plus a Corsair VS650 PSU...........I recently bought four case fans coz as I can notice there are 4 slots I can put case fans in .......I had put 3 and connected them ( not to mention the one that is alrdy with the case itself) now my problem is that there is no more places in the mobo to connect the last fan and I heard I dunno connect in the psu but I cant know how to do it so pls guide me else I have wasted money in a useless additional fan :(

There's an easy solution that will allow you to use all four of your fans under automatic control by the mobo. First of all, the fans you specify are of the 3-pin variety. According to the manual for your mobo it has three SYS_FAN headers each with 4 pins, but the manual on p. 15 indicates by its pinout labels that those headers actually operate like 3-pin headers in Voltage Control Mode, which is exactly what you need to be able to control those fans. Then the next thing you need is to buy a 4-pin fan splitter like this:

You can connected to a PSU but that removes any speed control.

The question is hard to answer w/o knowing the type of fan .... but these are the best options and only need 1 header

3 pin DCV fans from DCV Header

It is entirely OK to connect tow or three normal case ventilation fans to a single SYS_FAN header using such a splitter. Don't be thrown off by the 4-pin thing. You will find that your 3-pin fans plug into the output arms only one way, leaving the forth pin unused.
