My GPU was running at 92c for a few minutes, how screwed am I?

GTX 1060, I accidentally had my fan speed locked at around 30 and ran a benchmark as I was doing some underclocking, i come back and it was in the 90s for a few minutes.

I feel a little better now, but I thought it was bad to run GPUs at above the mid-80s or so.

There is a concern about the long term viability of any electronic component. Two issues:

a) Thermal Cycling - The wider the range of the cycle, the more physical stress is on the micro circuit traces... running at 90+ for hours than dropping to 20 means my cycles of thermal expansion / contraction and this is what you want to avoid from both Frequency and Range perspective

b) Heat / Voltage - The space between individual microcircuit traces is very small. The ability to board and chip to insulate the individual circuits from one another and prevent signals from crossing through decreases with both voltage and heat over time.

So as a PC users, you want to minimize the amount and range of cycling as well as the total number of hours at elevated temps .... your "few minutes" has no impact here.
