Hi, so I've posted this question before, but it was a LONG time ago and I completely forgot about it. I've been Twitch streaming for a while on my laptop now and everyone keeps saying my broadcast keeps getting choppy and keeps buffering. I decided to go onto my custom PC, which I remember doesn't work. I turned it on, it booted up. It brought me to the log-in screen, and I was able to log-in. When it was logging in, it turned off. I kept trying and trying to boot it up, but it still wouldn't work.

How did it stop working and why? I believe two years ago during the summer, I was playing on the PC non-stop and I decided to go get something to eat. I left the computer on, got something, came back 30 minutes later, and it stopped working. It wouldn't boot on at all. Now, it's working just fine, but it keeps booting down.

What I tried so far: I replaced the cooler with a liquid cooler. That didn't seem to help. I bought a new graphics card, I believe it's a NVIDIA 730 graphics card with 2GB. Nothing is working now.

Can someone help me, please? Thank you. (It's a custom-built PC built by someone else. So I'll do my best with trying to answer your questions.)

Update: Here was the post I posted many months ago, but I drifted away from. There might be more info there: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2888362/turns-turn-back-display-turn-unplugged.html#xtor=EPR-8809

Definitely a CPU cooler issue. You would be surprised at how fast the processor heats up. I would suggest grabbing a new cpu cooler that fits and applying a high quality thermal paste.

Sounds like it might be overheating. Your CPU should have safeguards that turn off the PC if it gets too hot. Did you ever overclock? I would check to see if the CPU cooler is on securely, and if it is, take it off and note how much thermal paste is on there (of course, buy some thermal paste first!).

I agree with "meh" above me. Sounds like the computer is shutting itself off as a safe measure. I would also boot into the BIOS and make sure none of the settings were changed mistakenly and see what temp it is idling at.

I'm getting what your saying. But how come the computer turns off when I just turn it on? It's definitely not overheating THAT fast. I did get a new cooler with thermal paste and it was applied properly. I don't see how it's still not working.

Please help, thanks.

Update: I opened the computer and saw that my computer's cooler wasn't properly connected. It's not properly connected because the cooler I got didn't quite fit, but I managed to get it to fit somehow. Now it's not connected. I pushed it in the proper place and see if the computer will work. It definitely ran a lot longer, I'd say about 45 second to a minute. Then it powered down...
