I have a Fujitsu Celsius m740 workstation. It has a 8pin PCIe port and shipped with a Y-splitter cable (6pin+8pin). Is it ok to use the cable to power my Titan X?

From datasheet:
Electrical values
Power consumption note 300 W
Rated voltage range 100 V - 240 V
Rated frequency range 50 Hz - 60 Hz
Operating voltage range 90 V - 264 V
Operating line frequency range 47 Hz - 63 Hz
Max. output of single power supply 600 W up to 90% efficiency
Power factor correction/active power active
Power supply output 1 graphics power rails (8pin connector / 18.5A@12V)

Solution
I believe it would be okay to use the cable to power the Titan X. I am guessing that the PCIe port is a 8 pin not 6+2pin. Which is probably what the splitter cable is for (This could probably be used as a converter to 6 pin), but can also be used to power 2 different cards/2 different PCIe connections.

So it would most likely work to power your Titan X.

Hope I helped, have a good day!
