The reason for building an Ivy Bridge is this -
1. Ivy Bridge motherboards are the last ones to support Windows XP.
2. There are many older games that only run in Windows XP and do not run in 7 or 10.
3. I do not know how the Windows XP mode works in Windows 7 (even though I have installed it)
So in order to play those older games, I need Windows XP Operating system supported PC.
Should I build an Ivy Bridge PC or should I purchase a 2nd hand/used laptop/desktop and use it for gaming?
I have a emachine e725 laptop with XP but those games don't run very well.
I recently built a skylake build (it too doesn't supprt XP).
So what should I do?
