I have a Corsair h100i V2 that I'm trying to mount to an msi 990fxa motherboard. I can't find any backplate with any of the boxes, even the mobo box. Will the screws for the h100i v2 go into any backplate with am3 compatability?

I just looked up the quickstart guide, and [strike]the h100i doesn't use a backplate for mounting on AMD cpus, it uses clips. If you need a new bracket, you can order that separately from Corsair here: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h80i-h100i-amd-mounting-bracket-kit[/strike]

Edit: sorry, failed to notice you were talking about the v2. However, the v2 also doesn't use a backplate for AMD cpus. It's not entirely clear to me how the standoff screws work for the AMD mounting, though.
