Hello everyone,

As the title says my computer will power off randomly when gaming. It as if someone completely pulled the plug and there is no restart. I have done several things so far to try and solve the issue but I am at a loss at this point. This is my first build but I have had one of my friends who helped me take a look at it and he was also unsure of what was wrong.

Here is what I have tried so far:

Replaced the PSU (3 times with 3 different PSUs)
Replaced the graphics card
Replaced the RAM
Reinstalled Windows 10
Replaced the cooling fan
Reapplied thermal paste (had someone else double check to make sure I did it right)
Flashed the BIOS

I was monitoring my temps before the shut downs and everything seems good (60-90C when gaming). I have had this issue shut off during Fallout 4, Warhammer: Total War, World of Warcraft, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry Primal, Rocket League, XCOM 2, and League of Legends. I have two monitors and it seems to happen more often if I have a video up on my 2nd monitor, although it happened last night and all I had up was Facebook.

The power offs have become less frequent since I have tried all those things to fix it but it is still happening once or twice a week and I am finally running up the white flag off surrender. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

My Build:
EVGA 80 PLUS GOLD 750W PSU
EVGA GTX 970
Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,
Intel Core i7-6700k 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0GHZ
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII RANGER LGA 1151
G.SKILL Ripjaws V series 16GB (2 x 8GB)
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" SATA III SSD

Did you update the motherboard firmware? Some older firmware didn't account for the AVX bug in Skylake, so it could be that too.
