I want to build a new gaming pc from scratch but have been struggling to choose a gpu under a tight budget. I want a gpu that is under $100 and can give me an average of 40 fps. I would go for AMD's apu but that is not available in my region. Can anyone please advise me such gpu from their personal experience? Thanks in advance
(sorry for the bad english)

If you will be using a cpu like a I3-6100(a great mid range gaming cpu), then the integrated HD530 graphics will be reasonably strong. I would try that first and see how you do. To get a significant boost over HD530 graphics, you are looking at a card costing more than $100.

The RX 460 2 GB version comes out in about a week. For $99, it will not only the most powerful card for the money but it also has a lower power draw than current cards within the price range near the performance. The RX470/460 will be more future proof for DX12 and should be pretty decent in crossfire (except the lower RAM count in the cheaper version may be an issue for 1440P+), giving a future upgrade option that may be cheaper than a new card.
