I'm building my computer and I'm wondering if this HDD (or the 2TB version) is good for gaming. If it makes any difference my CPU is i5-6600k and GPU is GTX 1060.

Solution
+1 on above, thats the best way to go about this.

Slow hard drives just take a LONG time to load the game (which is frustrating) a Blue will load a bit faster.

For now HDD only. I am planning on picking up an SSD a month or two later.

OK just bear in mind doing a fresh install of Windows to the SSD is your best bet. There are a few options for migrating the OS over from your hard drive (if you get a Samsung SSD it comes with the tool) folks have used them to varying levels of success, but its not a perfect process.

What i would do is:

Take your 2TB drive and partition the drive to 256gb for the C: drive and leave the rest for the D: drive. That way when you get your SSD in a month or two you can just use Macrium Reflect and just copy the C: drive right over to the SSD. Once that is done you can format the old C: drive and add it to the D: drive giving you back the full 2TB.

Right that's the plan but would having windows and games on the same HDD affect the performance?
