My canon mg3122 will not print in black. How do I get it to print?

I replaced my black ink on my canon mg3122. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to print. I just get blank pages. In the preferences, I did set it to greyscale, and it still doesn't print.

On the actual printer, the green light is on COLOR, if that makes a difference.

I have unplugged and reset to no avail.

I really need to fix this immediately as I need to print up postage for my ebay sales that are going off soon. This has never happened before.

Did you get an official Canon cartridge? Did you try a cleaning cycle? Make sure you removed the plastic from the new cartridge.

Yes, I did get the Canon ink. I also removed the plastic. That is the first thing I checked. I do not know what you mean by a cleaning cycle. Care to clarify?
