ok so its pretty simple what card is the most optimized in performance what card has the best drivers and which card has (if it eaven has) the best oc support program.
No contest. The primary difference between EVGA SC series and everybody else is that the SC series has historically been just a "reference PCB w/ nice cooler". MSI, Asus Gigabyte, etc all offer substantial component upgrades (chokes, power circuitry, VRM, advanced chop cooling, etc). Between the two, quality and performance wise, the MSI in a heartbeat. You can see the difference detailed here in great detail:
Read pages 3 and 4, especially the bottom third of each page to see how they differ.

You really won't need to read the performance comparison as after you read the design differences, how they perform relatuve to one another will make the results obvious before you read them.
You may have noticed that the SC version had a deficient;y designed cooler where 1 of the 3 heat pipes missed the GPU... the SSC version corrects this deficiency but the other deficiencies noted in the review (VRM, componentry, chip cooling etc.) remains the same
They all use the same drivers
MSI has the better OC App and OCs better.... hits 1500+ Hz Boost clock in just about every review

If budget allows, I would suggest moving to a 1060. I'd include the 480 except for the fact that the reference designs are problematic and the "fix" apparently isn't stopping this:

I would therefore recommend a 480 only if you are considering a 8 pin AIB (non-reference) card. However, the AIB 480 cards cards are more expensive then the AIB 1060s, and with both cards overclocked, the 1060s are 24% faster than the 480.
