Hello,

I have a Windows 10 USB that i made with the Media Creation tool and Rufus. How do I boot off of the USB on this specific motherboard (MSI H110M GAMING)?

Also, after exiting the bios, i have no display even after restart. I have to clear the CMOS to be able to enter the bios again.

Hardware:
Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Sandisk SSD PLUS 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Antec EA-380D Green

Thanks!

Solution

Then remove the GTX 950. You would need the 8 pin pcie connector plugged in to fully use the card. Try creating another bootable drive with another usb.
If you have created via the Media Creation tool using the usb option you don't need rufus.
You just need to boot override to the usb drive.
During POST, you should press F11 to use Boot menu. From there you can select to boot the usb drive to start the installation.

I used the media creation tool to make my usb, but i got a blank black screen after selecting the usb to boot from. Since that didnt work i made a bootable usb with rufus and the iso from the creation tool. However, I still have that black screen and my keyboard does not get power.

Do i need to clear the CMOS again? :(

EDIT: I also have a GTX 950 installed that is not powered due to my PSU not having an 8 pin pcie connector
