I was trying to get more FPS in some games like Fallout 4 and TW: Warhammer, but its optimization feature actually makes me increase certain settings that I decreased or turned off to improve FPS. What the heck? How is that gonna help me?

Solution
To appease those who don't really care to know what anti-aliasing or what volumetric shadowing is and how other post processing effects can affect your gameplay.... they just want it work. GE can make some quick assumptions, based on your hardware profile, and get you gaming in a satisfactory manner rather quickly.

Thanks. So it doesn't really have any "magic trick" that would actually improve the FPS, something beyond what you can do yourself? I mean why would I need this thing if I can manually switch the in-game settings myself?
