i used http://www.userbenchmark.com/ today and found my ram wasn't performing to its best:

but i'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact i've got a skylake running on ddr3 ram?
although the motherboard is a z170 asrock pro4/d3 and makes it compatible.
I've been in bios and tried to change a few things but nothing seems to have worked
