Hi guys, I went to gather more info about the laptop I was going to buy and I stumbled upon this one:

MSI GL62-6QD (414PH, for the country unit code thing)
- 15.6" HD (1366 x 768?) Anti-glare
- i5-6300HQ
- NVIDIA GTX 950M 2GB DDR3
- 4GB DDR4
- 1TB SATA HDD

I'm wondering if it could run some of the high-end games (at 1366x768 anyway). I've also seen that it's DDR3, so how big of a difference is that with GDDR5 (by difference I mean difference in FPS from games)?

Solution
For a budget graphics chip, DDR3 is alright, but GDDR5 is capable of providing the GPU with considerably more bandwidth and that helps increase performance. If the price isn't much more, get one with GDDR5, because it will have better performance.

yes GDDR5 is faster .. for gaming pick only GDDR5
