hi, pardon me for my bad english
recently i bought z170 oc formula and i7 6700k to replace my old system, from what i learned, the motherboard has 3 ultra m.2 socket (pcie gen 3 x4 and sata3) meanwhile my old system doesnt have ssd yet, i want to upgrade my new system with ssd, after some googling, i learned that if i want to use ultra m.2 socket, i have to sacrifice cpu lane that makes my vga only runs x8 except x16 with single vga, is that true? or is it only apply for ssd that runs pcie gen3 x4 such as samsung 950 NVME?
for the ssd, i will get samsung 850 evo (850 pro and 950 pro seems to overkill for my daily use) so, based on my question, is it wise to get 850 evo m2 form factor or take bigger size 2.5", fyi, i want to make my system build as clean as no hdd cage in front intake
